The new 506,000sqft Castle Quay Waterfront development includes a 117-bed Premier Inn, ten-screen Light Cinema and 244 new parking spaces. The development also features a new Lidl superstore with a 438-space two-level car park. Public realm works include associated road works, as well as the installation of a new canal bridge next to the existing shopping centre. Hannon Brothers were responsible for the foundations, drainage, services and the company also undertook some of the above ground RC work and waterproofing finishes including kerbs, channel drainage, paving and street furniture. Although this was a logistically challenging project which involved having to work around the public and the live Castle Quay shopping centre, the result is a stunning addition to the area that will be enjoyed by many.
