Mountpark Warrington Omega II is a development at the gateway to Omega South comprising three units totalling 736,884 sq ft.
Initially Hannon brothers were contracted to complete two of the three units. However, due to the developer securing a tenant to one of the units mid-build and their confidence in our ability to deliver, we were awarded an additional unit to complete. This involved re-sequencing and re-planning our works to involve adaptions to the existing unit, to ensure compatibility with incoming tenant requirements including machine plinths and internal conveyor troughs etc. Additional notable works undertaken involved diversion of a live rising main from the adjacent Dominos production unit, completing SW and FW pumping stations to an adoptable standard for the client, swale diversion and a radiused fair face RC wall to the entrance of the estate.
Initially undertaking the enabling works including the main access spine road, services, drainage, headwalls and Tarmac. Hannon Brothers were awarded the main works which consisted of the construction of 4nr new units over 2 sites.
Creation of a new unit built over previous cooling tower foundations and RC Culvert taking water from the adjacent River Trent. The new plot is now adjacent to a busy road and rail freight terminal.
Creation of 6nr new units and associated access roads/ car parks on an old landfill tip that previously housed the old Imperial Tabacco factory.
One of the first fully EV future-proofed projects we undertook. The job required careful planning to maintain full use of a pedestrian and cycle path through the project.
