Extending to a total of 136 acres, Symmetry Park (Kettering). Situated directly alongside the A14 “Trans-European” freight route at Junction 9.
The site provides prominence for occupiers and excellent transport links to the national motorway and trunk road network.
Initially undertaking the enabling works including the main access spine road, services, drainage, headwalls and Tarmac. Hannon Brothers were awarded the main works which consisted of the construction of 4nr new units over 2 sites.
Creation of a new unit built over previous cooling tower foundations and RC Culvert taking water from the adjacent River Trent. The new plot is now adjacent to a busy road and rail freight terminal.
Creation of 6nr new units and associated access roads/ car parks on an old landfill tip that previously housed the old Imperial Tabacco factory.
One of the first fully EV future-proofed projects we undertook. The job required careful planning to maintain full use of a pedestrian and cycle path through the project.
