Undertaking the foundations, drainage, services, truck wash area, FW pump chamber, rising main and service yard works. The project was complicated by the presence of HV Pylons traversing it. As a result, exclusion zones and height restriction were put in place within the vicinity to ensure the safety of our operatives. The project was mid-construction during the COVID lockdowns. This required us to adapt and maintain a workforce with social distancing to ensure handover to our client.
Initially undertaking the enabling works including the main access spine road, services, drainage, headwalls and Tarmac. Hannon Brothers were awarded the main works which consisted of the construction of 4nr new units over 2 sites.
Creation of a new unit built over previous cooling tower foundations and RC Culvert taking water from the adjacent River Trent. The new plot is now adjacent to a busy road and rail freight terminal.
Creation of 6nr new units and associated access roads/ car parks on an old landfill tip that previously housed the old Imperial Tabacco factory.
One of the first fully EV future-proofed projects we undertook. The job required careful planning to maintain full use of a pedestrian and cycle path through the project.
